Kapati Ukussa

Adapted from the birth legend (Jathaka story) of Lord Guathama Buddha Kapati Ukussa (Cunning Hawk) provides a simple story for the young to read and enjoy. The fact that resorting to deceptive and crafty actions for the sole purpose of personal gains produces miserable consequences is the important lesson that the children would learn. The crafty hawk which sought to satiate its hunger with the flesh of other birds met his match when he tried the same trick on the leader of the block of “Ati kukula”.
