Chathubhanavarapali Piruwanapoth Wahanse

Piruvana Poth Vahanse is considered as a much revered object more than a mere book. The Buddhist monks would carry the book with utmost respect when they enter any abode – temporarily built to recite pirith either throughout the day or overnight. The Piruvana Poth Vahanse is divided into five (5) main sections. Chathubhanavarapali is the fourth (4th) division which includes the suttas such as Dasadhamma Sutta Mahamangala Sutta Khanda Paritta Metta Sutta Mora Paritta Mitthanisansa Sutta Chanda Paritta Suriya Paritta Dhajagga Paritta Maha Kassapaththera Bojjhanga Maha Moggalanaththera Bojjhanga Maha Chundathera Bojjhanga Girimananda Sutta Isigili Sutta Dhammachakkappavattana Sutta Maha Samaya Sutta Alawaka Sutta and Kasibharadvaja Sutta. Most of these suttas are already famous among the laymen due to their spiritual power.
